Cookie Policy
Last updated: June 10, 2026
1. Introduction
This Cookie Policy explains how Patrimo (patrimo.ai), operated by Patrimo.AI S.A.S, uses cookies and similar technologies on its website and app.
At Patrimo we take a minimalist approach to cookies. We believe your privacy is fundamental, so we use only the cookies that are strictly necessary for the Service to work.
2. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a website. They are widely used to make sites work properly, improve the user experience, and provide information to site owners.
3. Cookies we use
Patrimo uses authentication session cookies only, managed by Supabase Auth. These are the only cookies present on our site:
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
sb-access-token | Access token used to authenticate your session | 1 hour | Essential |
sb-refresh-token | Refresh token that keeps your session active without having to sign in repeatedly | 7 days | Essential |
Both cookies are httpOnly and secure, meaning they cannot be read by client-side JavaScript and are only transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections.
4. Cookies we do NOT use
To be fully transparent, we want to tell you about the cookies we do not use:
- Tracking cookies: we do not track your browsing behavior, either inside or outside Patrimo.
- Third-party analytics cookies: we do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, Hotjar, or any other third-party analytics tool.
- Advertising cookies: we do not show ads on Patrimo or share data with ad networks.
- Social media cookies: we do not include share buttons or social widgets that set cookies.
- Third-party personalization cookies: we do not use external personalization services that store cookies in your browser.
5. Why we don't need a cookie banner
Because Patrimo uses only cookies that are strictly necessary for the authentication service to work (technical or essential cookies), we are not required to obtain your prior consent for their use, in line with international data protection practices and Colombian law.
Essential cookies are those without which the website cannot function properly. Without Supabase's session cookies, you would not be able to sign in or keep your session active.
6. How to manage cookies
Although our cookies are essential for the Service to work, you can manage cookies through your browser settings:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and stored data
Keep in mind that if you block Patrimo's cookies, you will not be able to sign in or use the Service, since the authentication cookies are essential for it to work.
7. Local storage (localStorage)
In addition to the cookies mentioned above, Supabase Auth may use your browser's local storage (localStorage) to manage the authentication session state. This storage serves the same purpose as the session cookies: keeping your session securely active.
We do not use local storage for any other purpose (tracking, analytics, advertising, etc.).
8. Changes to this policy
If we add new cookies in the future (for example, for first-party analytics), we will update this Cookie Policy and notify you by email. Our commitment is to keep cookie use to the strict minimum.
